Manifest Destiny

  4. Manifest Destiny was the belief that Americans had not just a divine right, but a responsibility to conquer America from sea to sea, and maybe even Canada, Mexico, and even the rest of the world. (Followers of this belief thought it was their "destiny" to expand American territory).

  6. Manifest Destiny was the belief by the white American that it was there duty by god to purify the country of all different races. They wanted to expand westward to the pacific ocean pushing all who werent anglo saxen of the land
